The I.T. journey began in 1991 after many years studying at Tresham College, Kettering, DeMonfort University and working as a lecturer in painting and decorating. Worked part time as a BTEC Computer Studies lecturer, teaching c++ programming. Began working full time as an IT Contractor in 1997 with clients such as Computer Science Corporation, United Distillers, British Aerospace, Hewlett Packard, HSBC, Cap Gemini, Premierfoods to name a few..........then early in 2005 in Weldon, Corby, Weldon IT Solutions Ltd began trading
• Design, recommend and implement server solutions for SMEs (various versionswindows server 20**, Exchange 203, 2007, 2010, SBS 2003r2 , SBS2008 and SBS2011) MFP, Scanning and archiving solutions.
• Several Successful migrations to sbs2008, sbs2011 from older windows server versions.
• Multiple office infrastructure upgrades to gigabit switches and routers. Installation of CATe cabling. Setup vpn tunnels to remote locations and clients (25 users+)
• Implemented Netgear UTMs router and gigbit switch solutions.
• Sage Accounts 201* and Sage Payroll support specialists.
• HP ProLiant and Dell servers, Hyper-V, Virtual Desktop technologies and disaster recovery solutions.
• Implementations & support of various vendor’s desktops and laptops running XP, vista & windows 7.
• Router/Wifi installations – Dlink, Netgear, 3Com routers/access points/firewalls/port access
• 3rd line migration support
• Active Directory support, WUS updates and GPO
• Implemented managed antivirus and server backup solutions
• Providing IT Services and support in Windows network environments
• Designed, configured and implemented several Windows SBS 4.5, 2003 & 2008 LANs
• Installation and support of Lotus Notes 6.5.1 – server and client end
• Support for Exchange 2003,Exchange 2007 & Exchange 2010 & Blackberry & iphone mobile technologies
• Bespoke database support and maintenance.
• Disaster recovery of servers/desktops including Exchange 200* data stores and user pst files.
• Provide on-going 2nd and 3rd line server and network support – remote and on-site.
